Obreros españoles resisten medidas conservadoras

El pasado jueves 29 de marzo tuvo lugar en España una jornada de huelga general convocada por sus sindicatos más representativos, Comisiones Obreras (CC.OO) y Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT), y respaldada por la gran mayoría de las organizaciones sindicales del país. La razón de la convocatoria: la contrariedad que ha suscitado en los sindicatos una reforma laboral aprobada por el Partido Popular, formación conservadora que gobierna el país desde su victoria en las elecciones del 20 de noviembre de 2011.

Spanish workers protest conservative labor policies

On March 29, a day of general strike took place in Spain, organized by Labor Commissions (CC.OO) and General Workers Union, and backed by the great majority of union organizations in the country. The reason for the call: dissatisfaction with labor reform approved by the conservative Popular Party, which has governed the country since its victory in the Nov. 20 election of last year.
