A musically improvised drama by William Crossman; a blend of Afro-Caribbean music Jazz, and European-classical music, spoken-word and dance, to tell the story of anti-slavery abolitionist John Brown’s raid 150 years ago in Harper’s Ferry, Virginia, that played a vital role as a prelude to the American Civil War and freedom for black slaves in the U.S. Directed by Michael Lange. Featuring: Raymond Nat Turner, María Medina-Serafin, Eliza O’Malley, Lewis Jordan, Sandi Poindexter, Akinyele Sadiq and many others.
