Historiador novelista se reconecta con su pasado a través de recuerdos

Oscar Hijuelos, el primer autor latino que gana el Premio Pulitzer de Ficción Literaria por su novela de 1989 “Los Reyes del Mambo Tocan Canciones de Amor”’ ha escrito un libro de memorias llamado “Pensamientos Sin Cigarrillos”. En el, hace uso de sus notables talentos narrativos hacia para explorar su interior, para relatar en detalle las experiencias que le formaron como novelista y ser humano.

Storied novelist reconnects with his past through memoir

Oscar Hijuelos, the first Latino author to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his 1989 novel “The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love” has written a memoir called “Thoughts Without Cigarettes.” In it, he turns his considerable storytelling talents inward, to recount in detail the experiences that shaped him as a novelist and a human being.

Hospital renovation on schedule

Behind the chain-link fences and colorful mural lining the bustling street of Potrero Avenue, the renovation of the San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center is underway. The project is not affecting access to medical services and the hospital will continue to remain entirely operational throughout the construction process.
