Family and friends of Luis Manuel Arguello-Inglis, a beloved 19-year-old who went by “Lucho,” built an altar Thursday near the bench where he was killed at Dolores Park last year.

After a morning mass at Mission Dolores Basilica, loved ones gathered to share food, stories, and prayers. His dog, Chucho, was there too.

Throughout the day, people added to the altar: flowers, photographs, and some of Lucho’s favorite things to eat, including tangerines, milk and protein shakes. Around 10 p.m., the time he was killed, his loved ones formed a circle in a quiet moment of remembrance.

The San Francisco Police Department is still investigating and has not released information about the suspect’s identity or possible motive. Anyone with information is urged to call the SFPD anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444.
