Institución musical de la Misión cierra sus puertas tras 40 años
Silvia Francisca Rodríguez, dueña de ‘Discolandia Records’, se retira después de 40 años de servicio a la comunidad latina de la Misión y del Área de la Bahía. Las puertas de su negocio cerraron el pasado 16 de enero del 2011, dando descanso asi a un período de la historia de música latina considerado como la Época de Oro, que cautivó a varias generaciones desde los años 60.

Mission institution closes doors after 40 years
Silvia Francisca Rodriguez, owner of Discolandia Records, is retiring after 40 years of service to the Mission and Bay Area Latino communities. She closed the doors of her business on Jan. 16, 2011, laying to rest a historical period of Latin music known as “The Golden Age,” which has captivated generations since the 60’s.
