A home is a place that is close to our heart, it triggers self-reflection, thoughts about who someone is or used to be or who they might become. This exhibition invites established and emerging Latina (preferably but not exclusive) female artists to explore through installation the symbolic spaces of home: living room/dining room, kitchen/pantry, bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, patio and balcony. The gallery will be transformed into a house which rooms will be delimited by see through fabric to show the fragility of housing in The San Francisco’s Mission District.
exhibit runs through April 8
Where: Mission Cultural Center for the Latino Arts, 2868 Mission St.
