El pasado 23 de agosto, la comunidad que Eric tanto adoraba lo visitó por última vez, llevándole velas y flores a su casa de la Calle Peralta para bendecirlo en su próximo viaje. Murió a la mañana siguiente, junto a su compañera Lorena, su hermano Carlos y su madre Clara.
