San Francisco’s Mission district came alive with  music, dance on Memorial Day weekend (May 29 & 30) as 400,000 people flooded the community at the annual  SF Carnaval festival and parade.  More than 80 music and dance contingents participated in Sunday’s Grand Parade. The array of cultures represented included those from Brazil,  Boliva, the Yucatec Maya, Trindad, the community’s low riders and more.  Check out  El Tecolote’s slideshow of Carnaval 2010 in San Francisco’s Mission District.
