Sudan is a country with a strong legacy of resistance and movement building. Its people have fought and continue to fight against the forces of injustice: Western imperialism, economic exploitation, and the continued
repression and tyranny under the current regime of Omar Al Bashir.
Corporate media only highlights the conflict and victimhood of Sudanese people. Sudanese people have continuously
been actively engaged in the quest for democracy and justice, and their struggle is connected to
the larger global movement towards equality and self-determination.
Join us as we look beyond the North and South, and recognize and celebrate Sudan’s rich culture of resistance!
