We invite Bay Area artists to submit work for Sinvergüenza, a group exhibition honoring women and nonbinary people who refuse to shrink, apologize or conform.
“Sinvergüenza” (shameless) has historically been used to police or shame those living outside prescribed roles: for taking up space, following desire, speaking loudly, transforming their bodies or choosing unconventional paths. This show reclaims the word as a badge of courage, uplifting those who live their truths without shame.
We seek artwork that uplifts the bold, the unruly, and the unapologetic. We welcome all formats — including painting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, fiber art, sculpture, installation and mixed media — and encourage interpretations from diverse perspectives.
Submission Deadline: January 15, 2026
Opening Reception: February 14, 2026 (Valentine’s Day)
Exhibition Dates: February 14 – March 29, 2026
Gallery Location
Acción Latina
The Juan R. Fuentes Gallery
2958 24th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110
Artists may submit multiple works; please complete a separate form for each piece. Join us in creating a platform that pushes the boundaries of what is possible for Latina/e/x communities.
