Thousands of Palestinian supporters gathered at the corner of 16th and Valencia streets in San Francisco on May 15 to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the Nakba (the Palestinian exodus that occurred in 1948 with the creation of Israel) in a show of solidarity with Palestine amid Israel’s unrelenting air strikes, which have killed more than 200 Palestinians thus far. After an hour of speeches, the group marched down Mission Street chanting “Free Palestine.” Photos: Benjamin Fanjoy
