Librotraficante Bay Area responds to the recent eliminations of ethnic studies education programs and the banning of books by writers of color and socially conscious authors in Tucson, Arizona. Some of San Francisco’s finest poets including M.C. Naomi Quiñones, Lucha Corpi, Tomas Riley, Genny Lim and Jack Hirschman read their own work from books banned by Tucson. A Librotraficante caravan smuggled the books back to Arizona to read from them
