Half Moon Bay has opened its doors to the first ever all Latina art exhibit with plans to make it an annual affair. The exhibit, “Las Mujeres de Valor,” runs through April 16 at the Sueño Center and features 23 artists – some local and some as far away as Los Angeles. Ayudando Latinos A Soñar, a local non-profit dedicated to working for social wellness, serves as event host. Some 100 people attended the opening March 19 reception that featured a mini mercado, free food and refreshments, and entertainment. The art itself is breathtaking and colorful. It features themes related to the Latina experience, some with powerful social justice messages. Checkout the show while it lasts at 604 Main St., Suite C. For more information, call 650-560-8947.
