CubanaBooks, the Center for the Art of Translation and Litquake SF present an in-person reading from two Cuban women authors, as they celebrate the first English translations of their respective works published through Cubanabooks. Mirta YaƱez reads from her book of short stories ā€œHavana is a Really Big Cityā€ and Nancy Alonso reads from her book ā€œDisconnect/Desencuentro.ā€ Audience Q&A follows the reading. The evening also features a live performance by Azucar Con AchĆ©, an all-woman, Bay Area-based salsa and Latin jazz ensemble. This is a bilingual Spanish and English production.
