Mauricio E. Ramírez, is an artist, curator, and professor born in San Francisco to Salvadoran parents. He received his Ph.D. in Latin American and Latino Studies, with an emphasis in Visual Studies, from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Currently, he is a UC President’s and Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chicana/o Studies at UC Davis.
