Mapuche people’s Struggle Direct from Chile An exhibition of artwork by Mapuche Lonko Juana Calfunao, illustrating the struggle of her people.

Juana Calfunao was imprisoned in 2006 for her struggle to reclaim her community’s ancestral lands from logging corporations, and she was released in Sept., 2010.

Come to celebrate her release and learn about the ongoing struggle of the Mapuches for land and justice in the face of continued repression by the Chilean State.

More than 34 Mapuche political prisoners are now on hunger strike (more than 2 months) in Temuco & Concepción; for protesting their prosecution under anti-terrorist laws:

some of the hunger strikers are hospitalized, right now.
