On Dec. 1, about 150 SF State students attended an Occupy SF rally in Malcolm X plaza, protesting next semester’s 9 percent tuition increase.

Inside the Cesar Chavez student center, students wrapped Chase ATMs in plastic wrap.

As the crowd moved towards the administration building, University President Robert A. Corrigan came outside to address the protesters. At 5 p.m., after a spontaneous Q&A with the students,  Corrigan turned and walked away from the crowd.

A remaining group of students proceeded to set up tents in Malcolm X Plaza, where they continue to camp out as of press time.
