A four-day, three-night college empowerment program for Hispanic high school students, hosted by the Hispanic College Fund, Silicon Valley Independent School District on the campus of Santa Clara University. Students will participate in college and career workshops, a college admissions fair, connect with local Hispanic professionals and college admissions officers, and compete for $10,000 in scholarships. The Hispanic Youth Symposium (HYS) exists to motivate Hispanic students to pursue higher education, a professional career, and a commitment to community service. The Hispanic College Fund is a non-profit organization with a mission to develop the next generation of Hispanic professionals by providing educational, scholarship, and mentoring programs to students throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
