CubanaBooks, the Center for the Art of Translation and Litquake SF present an in-person reading from two Cuban women authors, as they celebrate the first English translations of their respective works published through Cubanabooks. Mirta Yañez reads from her book of short stories “Havana is a Really Big City” and Nancy Alonso reads from her book “Disconnect/Desencuentro”. Audience Q & A follows the reading. The evening also features a live performance by Azucar Con Aché, an all-woman, Bay Area-based salsa & Latin jazz ensemble. This is a bilingual Spanish & English production
