It is believed that on the Day of the Dead, the spirits of loved ones who have left this world come back to earth for a quick visit. Us mortals must dress up, bring out the food, flowers and decorations and dance all night with the spirits who on this night, honor us with their visit.
In the Mission, thousands gather each year to remember loved ones who have gone away, and honor their with altars, ofrendas, and music.
