The 37-year-old nonprofit is holding its annual scholarships and awards fundraising dinner in San Francisco on Oct. 10 to celebrate scholarship recipients and community leaders. This year the CLF is also acknowledging the important role that music has played in social justice movements and in addition will present its annual Legacy Award and Emerging Leader Award to musicians, Sheila E and Diane Gameros, respectively. Over 800 attendees from the government, education, corporate and community sectors will join CLF to applaud its students and celebrate their accomplishments
