{"id":67379,"date":"2025-08-15T12:04:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T19:04:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eltecolote.org\/content\/?p=67379"},"modified":"2025-08-15T12:04:28","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T19:04:28","slug":"sf-migrantes-indocumentados-fuerza-laboral-defensa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eltecolote.org\/content\/es\/sf-migrantes-indocumentados-fuerza-laboral-defensa\/","title":{"rendered":"Cinco formas de apoyar a la fuerza laboral migrante de San Francisco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tras salir de Guatemala, Ren\u00e9 Bautista se convirti\u00f3 en un sanfranciscano y en lo que denomino un jornalero &#8216;pre documentado\u2019: un migrante que pese a la falta de un estatus legal, aporta su trabajo a la comunidad a la que pertenece. Hac\u00eda trabajos de plomer\u00eda a cambio de materiales reciclables, los cuales recog\u00eda por las noches y los vend\u00eda por las ma\u00f1anas, para luego continuar su jornada en busca de m\u00e1s oportunidades en el Programa de Jornaleros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En dos a\u00f1os, a principios de la d\u00e9cada de 1990, Ren\u00e9 ahorr\u00f3 lo suficiente para abrir El Miramar, una marisquer\u00eda en las calles 24 y Harrison, en el Distrito Misi\u00f3n. Con su arduo trabajo mantuvo a su familia, impuls\u00f3 otros peque\u00f1os negocios, aport\u00f3 ingresos fiscales al municipio y preserv\u00f3 una parte vibrante de la cultura latina de la Misi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su historia es una entre millones. Esta fuerza laboral migrante en situaci\u00f3n irregular genera recursos p\u00fablicos, riqueza generacional de familias y aportan vitalidad a nuestros barrios. Es hora de reconocer su valor y corresponderles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las personas trabajadoras migrantes siempre han sido clave en las luchas por la jornada laboral de ocho horas, del fin de semana, derecho a licencia familiar y a un salario digno. Estos logros, ganados con esfuerzo, se basan en un hecho: <strong>al compartir la riqueza, todas las personas resultan beneficiadas.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al igual que las generaciones previas que moldearon nuestro bienestar, esta fuerza laboral migrante est\u00e1 construyendo nuestro futuro. Aqu\u00ed te ofrezco cinco formas de contribuir:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Protege y acompa\u00f1e:<\/strong> \u00fanete a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bayresistance\">Bay Resistance<\/a> (info@bayresistance) y a otros grupos que acompa\u00f1an a las personas a sus citas de migraci\u00f3n en el 100 Montgomery St., para garantizar su seguridad o ayudarles a conseguir audiencias judiciales virtuales cuando su asistencia en persona represente un riesgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mant\u00e9nte vigilante en los puntos de contrataci\u00f3n:<\/strong> a trav\u00e9s del programa Adopta un Punto, forja relaciones con jornaleros y prep\u00e1rate para documentar o bloquear la actividad ilegal del ICE. Ponte en contacto con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nuevo_sol_sf\">Nuevo Sol Day Labor Program<\/a> al (415) 529-9675.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Promueve la iniciativa de obtenci\u00f3n de la ciudadan\u00eda: <\/strong>apoya la iniciativa del senador Alex Padilla, \u2018Renovando las Disposiciones de Inmigraci\u00f3n de la Ley de Inmigraci\u00f3n de 1929\u2019, para que se permita a las personas migrantes que han residido por siete a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s, iniciar un proceso de obtenci\u00f3n de la ciudadan\u00eda. Para participar, contacta a la organizadora Ren\u00e9e Saucedo al (707) 273-2974.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contrata a personas de tu localidad:<\/strong> si requieres ayuda con reparaciones, mudanzas, jardiner\u00eda o limpieza del hogar, contrata personas trabajadoras que se encuentren cercanas a tu \u00e1rea, comun\u00edcate al (415) 529-9675.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apoya y manifi\u00e9state: <\/strong>el 1 de septiembre acude a la calle 24 y \u00fanete a la marcha del D\u00eda del Trabajo, para exigir que se reconozca a esta fuerza laboral y exigir protecci\u00f3n para nuestra comunidad migrante. Invita a tus amistades, a tu agrupaci\u00f3n religiosa, sindicato o grupo juvenil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personas como Ren\u00e9 contin\u00faan el legado de Dolores Huerta, de C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez y otros innumerables activistas que lucharon para que las generaciones futuras vivan con dignidad y libertad. Esa antorcha ahora est\u00e1 en nuestras manos. No somos solo testigos de la historia, la estamos moldeando. Her mission is to strengthen the newspaper\u2019s connection with San Francisco\u2019s migrant and Latino communities through bilingual service journalism.
