In addition, throughout her career in San Francisco, California, Katie has actively collaborated with various nonprofit organizations to support the immigrant community. Her contributions have been key in editing and producing content, as well as in disseminating vital information for monolingual Spanish-speaking Latinos, helping facilitate access to essential resources and empowering the communities she serves. As of August, Katie Beas has taken on the role of Managing Editor of El Tecolote. Her mission is to strengthen the newspaper\u2019s connection with San Francisco\u2019s migrant and Latino communities through bilingual service journalism.
