The November election is quickly approaching, and the stakes couldn\u2019t be higher. Across the country, voters will make critical decisions, including choosing between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, which could reshape immigration policies and impact key issues for the nation\u2019s 65.2 million Latinos. While national attention is focused on the presidential race, San Francisco voters will also decide on 10 California propositions and 15 ballot measures, including the mayoral race and critical Board of Supervisors contests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With so many important decisions ahead, it can be overwhelming for voters to stay informed. To help cut through the noise, El Tecolote devoted its October 17th print edition to providing election information specifically for San Francisco\u2019s Latinx, Spanish-speaking voters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with CalMatters<\/a> and KQED<\/a>, we\u2019ve identified the most relevant state and local races and ballot measures for our community. This includes elections for Mayor, District Attorney, Board of Education, and key propositions on housing, transportation, and public services \u2014 all of which directly impact vital issues like affordable housing, public safety, and education for Latinx residents across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make sure our voter guide reaches the community, we\u2019ve focused distribution on key Latinx neighborhoods like the Mission, Excelsior, Tenderloin, and Bayview. We are targeting Latinx grocery stores, health centers, lavander\u00edas, food banks, and schools to ensure greater access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
