La cifra se hizo p\u00fablica el pasado diciembre y se refiere al a\u00f1o fiscal 2013, que finaliz\u00f3 el 30 de septiembre.<\/p>\n<p>ICE dice que el departamento ha dado prioridad a la deportaci\u00f3n de inmigrantes con antecedentes penales en el pa\u00eds y de personas detenidas en la frontera al intentar entrar ilegalmente en el pa\u00eds. Del total de 368.644 deportaciones, tan s\u00f3lo 133.551 fueron personas detenidas dentro de los EEUU, y de ellos el 82 por ciento fueron inmigrantes condenados anteriormente por un delito, seg\u00fan informa el ICE.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson Purves, abogado de inmigraci\u00f3n radicado en San Francisco, cree que la declaraci\u00f3n del ICE no refleja la realidad, ya que se contin\u00faa deportando a personas sin antecedentes penales.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe o\u00eddo hablar de tantos casos en los que se deport\u00f3 a inmigrantes sin ninguna raz\u00f3n aparente\u201d, dijo Purves. \u201cA algunos los han detenido cuando iban manejando s\u00f3lo porque se ve\u00edan como hispanos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Los principales pa\u00edses de origen de los deportados el a\u00f1o pasado fueron M\u00e9xico, Guatemala, Honduras y El Salvador.<\/p>\n<p>Conforme a Purves, lo que est\u00e1 pasando es que EEUU se beneficia monetariamente con las deportaciones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaben que la mayor\u00eda de estas personas no tiene ning\u00fan antecedente penal. Por otro lado, tambi\u00e9n saben que no tienen una licencia para manejar, por ejemplo.
