Photo Francisco Palma<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While holding her children\u2019s hands, a ceremony attendee told El Tecolote that she was very excited and ready to watch the ribbon cutting. \u201cIt was really rundown for almost three years,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ginsburg, it took nine months and $900,000 to complete the remodel from start to finish.<\/p>\n<p>Improvements were made to the water system and interior walls of the pool. Additionally, the pool\u2019s temperature is now 80 degrees, so the public can swim comfortably in any weather.<\/p>\n<p>During reopening day, more than a dozen children were excited to jump into the new pool. As Ginsburg said, families will be able to enjoy it and neighborhood children will have more after school activities available.<\/p>\n<p>Mission Community Pool is located on 19th Street between Linda and Valencia streets in the Mission.
