El 18 de enero la Red en Defensa del Ma\u00edz, el Movimiento Urbano Popular, el movimiento estudiantil Yo Soy 132, entre otros, en conferencia de prensa, manifestaron su rechazo hacia los productos transg\u00e9nicos por considerarlos un peligro para las variedades nativas y la biodiversidad. Informaron, adem\u00e1s, que dichos productos destruyen las posibilidades de producci\u00f3n independiente, da\u00f1an la salud y el medio ambiente. El pr\u00f3ximo 7 de febrero abordar\u00e1n este tema en el marco de un debate entre organizaciones y representantes del Ejecutivo de M\u00e9xico a llevarse a cabo en la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM).<\/p>\n<p>M\u00c9XICO: OTRO DERRAME Y PEMEX LO OCULTA<br \/>\nEl 13 de enero ocurri\u00f3 un nuevo vertido de crudo en el l\u00edmite de Veracruz, M\u00e9xico, pero fue hasta el mi\u00e9rcoles siguiente que medios locales informaron de este incidente, ya que Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos (PEMEX) mantuvo completo hermetismo al respecto. La informaci\u00f3n publicada se\u00f1ala que el derrame ocurri\u00f3 cuando una tuber\u00eda de PVC se fractur\u00f3 durante trabajos de exploraci\u00f3n de nuevos pozos. Hasta el momento se desconoce la cantidad de crudo vertido y la extensi\u00f3n de la zona da\u00f1ada.
