In honor of the great Nicaraguan poet of Ruben Dario, the Mission Cultural Center presents a dance performance \u201cEl G\u00fceg\u00fcense,\u201d and Cultural night by the \u201cBallet Folklorico Nicaragua Viva,\u201d the group Children of the Corn and singers Carlos del Sol and Carlos Daniel. “El G\u00fceg\u00fcense”\u2014also known as “Macho Rat\u00f3n”\u2014is a satirical drama and was the first literary work of post-Columbian Nicaragua. It is regarded as one of Latin America\u2019s most distinctive colonial-era expressions and as Nicaragua\u2019s signature folkloric masterpiece, combining music, dance and theater<\/p>\n
