The San Francisco Tribal and Textile Arts Show opens with a preview gala to benefit the galleries for Art of Africa, Oceania and the Americas and the Textiles galleries of the de Young Museum. The gala offers a “first look” at the special exhibition of stitched quilts from the Indian sub-continent as well as the thousands of art and antiques on display. This event is open to the public on Feb. 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Feb. 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Feb. 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be no admittance on Sunday after 4:30 p.m.
